TOLEDO (WTOL) - Ahead of Saturday's anticipated snow storm, local businesses are working to make sure you stay safe and prepared.

Extra supplies of milk, bread and eggs have already been ordered and Walt Churchill’s Market is also planning to increase staffing later in the week as they anticipate many last minute shoppers.

"It'll start Thursday, we'll get the people who probably don't want to take a chance come in on Thursday, we'll notice an uptick on Thursday then we'll really start Friday afternoon,” David Duling with Walt Churchill’s Market said.

Kroger will continue its pickup services as long as stores are open and Instacart deliveries will continue unless there are snow emergencies not allowing them on the road. The one difference with deliveries is they can’t guarantee delivery within the normal two-hour window.

Also, while it might not be on people’s lists when they walk in, Duling says the store sees an increase in beer and wine sales as people hunker down and wait out the snowstorm.
