Government shutdown also shuts down chances of trying new flavors of beer in local breweries

TOLEDO (WTOL) - The federal government’s shutdown is not only affecting the pocket’s of its employees, but local breweries, like Maumee Bay Brew Pub, who distribute some beers out-of-state, are feeling the impact too.

These breweries require federal approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, or TTB for new flavors of beer from outside of Ohio.

That means until the government comes to a deal, beer lovers will have to continue to order the same old same old, which is considered a buzzkill for some.
