PERRYSBURG (WTOL) - Mercy Health is expanding its medical staff. They’re holding open interviews next week.

The hospital is quickly expanding and looking for workers. Right now they have 75 open positions they’re looking to fill.

“It’s to support the expansion of the Perrysburg Hospital. We will he interviewing for all types of positions in the hospital. We’re opening up the surgical center, which means we’re going to see patients here soon so we need the staff to support us so we can treat them,” said Shannon William, Mercy Health Talent Acquisition.

Nurses, surg techs and dietary positions are among the openings. The Perrysburg Mercy Health location has been quickly expanding since 2013.

“We’ve opened up 18 inpatient beds this year and we will expand to 46 inpatient beds in the spring,” said Mike Craig, COO of the Perrysburg Mercy Health location.

Add that on to the nursing shortage being seen across northwest Ohio and you have a lot of open jobs.

The hospital will be holding open interviews on Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5 p.m to 8 p.m.

Interviews will be held in the Pontius Room at Perrysburg Hospital, which is located at 12621 Eckel Junction Rd. in Perrysburg, Ohio.
