TOLEDO (WTOL) -The Toledo Area Humane Society is investigating a cruelty case of a dog that was found in an alley.
The humane society says the dog was found in an alley on E. Broadway St.
The dog was emaciated, dehydrated and anemic, covered in fleas.

The humane society says she was also covered in sores and pressure sores from lying in one position for so long.
TAHS attempted to save the dog, but says she died overnight due to starvation, and the contents of her stomach showed nothing put pieces of plastic, rubber and other assorted debris.
The humane society says it also appears the dog was passed on at least four times.
