CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Tristan Thompson will miss 2 to 4 weeks due to a left foot sprain, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced Tuesday.
Thompson injured his foot when he landed awkwardly in the third quarter of Monday’s road game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The forward/center left the game and did not return.
Additional testing was performed on Tuesday in Cleveland, which confirmed the sprain.
Thompson will now undergo a treatment and rehabilitation and will see playing time again when his status improves.
The Cavaliers are now down two big men as forward Kevin Love continues to nurse his foot injury. He is not expected to return until January.
